I don't want to curse or hate or blame anyone but the society we are in. We watch programs that give us entertainment but not the ones that show problems faced by people in the society. Do question yourself (especially youth) "Are you being benefitted by entertainment shows?" for which the answer is aptly NO.
Just to elaborate a heartening story of a wife who has been thrown out of house as she is mentally ill.
Ankita(Name Changed) is a very happy girl but mentally disabled but has been very active. As her parents are getting old and with a convention that the love by her husband might set her right, they married her . The very first day she was cruelly exploited with cigarette marks all over her body and since she was feared of her husband she didn't convey the same to her parents. She has been living with her husband who beat her for every single mistake of hers.. (Who doesn't do mistakes?). She never conveyed the same to her parents though. When she got pregnant,her parents came to know about the cigarette marks on her body and scolded their son-in-law.
Being a patriarchal society, a man with bad habits cant withhold his mistakes against his ego. He ruined other woman's life again. This time he married Saritha( Name Changed) and continued with her without any intimation to his first wife Ankita. Though Ankita launched complaint with Police, she was not cared again.Infact they both bought her home and tortured her.
Even the judiciary can't help her in this matter since she is mentally disabled. When he was persuaded to atleast bear her medicinal costs, he simply rejected and was of no fear to the law of the land.
Where are we? Are we going to westernisation to see this? Are kings apt for punishing such people?
